I am so sorry to bother you, since it is pretty obvious that you are one busy lady!

A while ago I noticed that my freebies were no longer being picked up. After going through all the Q&A I realized it is most probably because of the tags I posted (some of them contain a little bit too much nudity).

I went ahead and took the tags off my blog, they are no longer there.

I also went ahead and reapplied to have my freebies listed on digifree.

I hope this resolves any issues there were with my blog. If I was banned or not picked up for any other reason, is it possible to let me know what it was, so I can fix it?

The Google Ranking is obtained using Google's API daily. It's not stored locally because these change all the time. There are major problems with the Technorati API and perhaps this one is also less reliable than one might like! But remember also that the Google Rank is only 1 of a number of things that are used for ranking blogs. The popularity on popular blogs is now a stronger feature.

I am soooo sorry to bother you about this again!

I got up to 5 stars for several days in a row. Whoo-hoo! But all of a sudden I am down to three stars again and my Google page rank on your site went back down to zero again and it is in fact 2. Could you reset it again please? I have CT members who have a higher rating that I do and they all link to my blog!

I wonder why mine keeps resetting lower?

I have followed the instructions but it has been a week now since i registered and did the changes, but my blog is still not on there.

What have I done wrong?

Just to say thanks and sorry. Think I may have had a virus which was causing pop-ups to appear as my anti-virus flashed up a warning on friday and automatically removed a virus. Since then I've had no pop-ups appear. (I do update my antivirus daily and run a full scan weekly but can only assume it was relatively new virus that Norton have only just picked up on).

So big thanks for your help (was having major withdrawal syptoms not coming on everyday!!!!!), and again really sorry for any headaches that I may have caused!

Actually the Google Rank only resets every so often because of the lookup time. I've made it reset so your rank should be correct tomorrow.

Also bear in mind that the links between blogs are done in comparison. So if you have 2 new links for any particular day but the majority of other blogs have more than this then your star rating wont be high as a result for that day. It's re-calculated every day.

Deb the Scrapp'n Cop installed it and said she was getting so many popups from it that she could not get it to stop. I'm assuming she finally figured it out.

Just wanted to let you know that it was not being received well.

Those on mediafire are fine. The keyword "freebie" in a title isn't enough. Lots of people publish other people's freebies so the system has to find something that it is 90% sure is actually a free item published by the author. Not an easy thing to program unfortunately! ;-)

But for everyone else who has this question, if you added your blog and it didn't show for more than a week then either (a) there is a problem with your feed or (b) the pictures on your blog are provocative/suggestive and not suitable for a "G" rated blog.

When I click on your feed it takes me here: http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/login;jsessionid=02CB2593A603E8829432C43120FF882C.fb1 which requires me to log in to FeedBurner. A system would arrive at that page and not be able to go further. Perhaps try looking at your feed on a computer where you don't have your passwords etc all stored so that you can see what I mean.

First of all thank you so much for hosting Digi Free! You do an awesome job as I am sure this is a lot of work.

I had a question about updating my information with you. I noticed my freebies are no longer showing up on digifree and after reading the FAQ it looks as though it is because I no longer host freebies on 4shared anymore. I have a new, personal domain that I host them on now.

I couldn't find how to update my information so I am sending you this message hoping you receive it. Could you please let me know what is needed to update my information with you so digi free can find my freebies again?

It also depends on the distribution of blogs for each day. E.g, if on one particular day 75% of the blogs have a high Google pagerank (> 3) then those with lower pageranks are distributed lower on the star ratings. i.e., those with pagerank <= 2 will end up with only 1 to 1.5 stars. But if on a day almost all the blogs have pagerank 0 or 1 and nothing above 2, then those with a pagerank of 2 will jump up to 5 stars.

I hope that makes sense! In the end it's a daily calculation and the number of referrals are also re-calculated daily (since the last run anyway). So it can vary quite a lot.

Because the posts are done in reverse order (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) they can link forward to the next post (because the system posts and then can get its URL) but once posted it's harder to modify. So it's not a simple problem. I will think about it though as I'd like to put it in. But I did wonder if people would just use the "Back" button?
