Before you do anything, check to see if you are already listed! You might be pleasantly surprised that I've been sending people your way already :-) … please search for your blog name (remove the http://) using the "Search This Site" item on the sidebar.
If you are absolutely sure you are not already listed, use the form below. Before you do this, it is extremely important that you check your blog feed! I don't have time to check blog feeds to make sure that they are set to full. If your blog doesn't show up, please check that your blog conforms to the guidelines before leaving a comment or emailing me or I won't be able to keep this up and I'd really like to :-( . If the feed looks okay to you make sure you are not logged into your blog (or you will see it all but we won't).
If your blog is a standard blog then listing it should be very simple as long as your blog feed is set to full (and you actually have freebies!) Otherwise it might not work very well. Some blog servers are easier to work with than others.
To list your blog on DigiFree:
- Check the archive to see if you are already listed (go to the Search This Site on the sidebar of the blog).
- Make sure your blog lists digital scrapbooking freebies. Blogs containing free items which are predominantly blog layouts or desktops will not be listed. Even taggers at 72dpi are not really for proper digital scrapbooking but I allow some of the higher quality ones.
- Make sure your blog doesn't contain material unsuitable for viewing by children! Pictures or photos of people or characters should be wearing more than underwear! My standards are higher than most so if you have pictures (photos or cartoons) of people showing lots of body skin or tight fitting tops on girls with Dolly Parton like breasts I'll ban the blog from DigiFree.
- CHECK YOUR BLOG FEED to make sure you have enabled a FULL BLOG FEED on your site. This is extremely important because that's all the system can see.
- Please, please read the rest of this FAQ to make sure everything is in order.
- **Join Here** ONLY if you are not already listed and have done the above.
Please only use this form if you have gone through all the issues outlined here and you are 100% sure your blog feed is okay and your freebie links are obvious to a system. Unfortunately I can't spend time testing each blog to make sure it works and this is now processed by a system so it's no use leaving your blog link over & over if your blog doesn't conform to the guidelines. I no longer leave comments helping people because there are just too many blogs to look at. Of course, that's a great thing that the digital scrapbooking community is doing, but this has to be automated for it to survive. You don't get personal help from the people at Google ;-) so I'm sorry but my kids need my time & I'd rather play with my them than spend 2 hours per day or all weekend on this. All the information you need should be in the FAQ and I update it when I discover new information. Thanks!
I add blogs at least once a week, mostly on the weekend when I have time to catch up on this. Please only submit your blog once.
Note: this only works for blogs, not ordinary web sites.
Note: If a blog contains material I wouldn't show my young children (i.e., images of people/characters in underwear or revealing clothing, "dark" or frightening images, etc.) it will not be listed here. I've had too many occasions when I'm testing blogs that my children have been in the room and seen things I don't approve! Now I have to make sure they are not around when I'm testing. So I now add blogs less frequently.
If anyone spots a blog that they find offensive please leave a comment for me on the page where it is (please indicate the URL of the blog) - I have removed *heaps* but I don't manage to catch them all. One comment from one visitor should be enough (though I am very busy).
